Sittin' pretty

New pics

Hi ya'll, I wanted to post these new pics of Sadie. Some are of her eating bananas one morning and peas one evening (which she really didn't enjoy). The others Adam took this afternoon. She is starting to sit up like a big girl! I can't believe how much she is growing and changing. She'll be 5 months at the end of this week! Hope all ya'll are doing well. Peace. Loves

Thanksgiving time!

Thanksgiving!

Sadie had her first Thanksgiving. It was great. She got to see her cousins and look at all the kids running around. First we went to Gigi and Granddaddy's house. Sadie got to see the kitties and "play" in the yard. After we ate we went for a nice walk and tried to move our food around! Next we went to Poppa and Grandma Carrie's house. Sadie got to meet her cousins Xavier, Brooklyn and Natanya for the first time and she got to see Amalise and Jerilyn. All the kids are getting so big. I can't believe that Thanksgiving has already come and gone. Sadie's first Hanukkah and Christmas will be next! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Peace. Loves

Sadie, baby

Another week gone!

Well, another week has gone by and almost another month! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is this week. Sadie's first Thanksgiving. Pretty crazy. We're having a long lunch at work tomorrow and everyone is bringing something. It'll be nice to have a yummy lunch and to relax and enjoy it. Thursday will be busy. Lunch at my mom's and dinner at my dad's. Adam's parents go to Tampa for Thanksgiving and eat at a restaurant. Adam and I are both working on Friday, so there's no way we can see everyone and neither of us want to try and drag Sadie all the way down there (especially since half the time she can't make it from our house to 34th with out screaming!). Last night Sadie and I visited Mama and Papa at the Hilton here in G'ville. They came to town for a party on Friday and the Gator game on Saturday. It was a nice visit. Sadie was cute as always! Today Adam worked in the morning and I cleaned. Later we went to the grocery store (yes we have a very exciting life!). I took Sadie to the playground to swing today and she enjoyed that. Anyhow, it's about 10:30 and I'm really sleepy so..Peace. Loves.

sweet potato

Something new

This weekend flew by. Saturday I was off, but Adam had to work. Sadie and I hung out, ran errands and I met with the Avon rep and got set up with my stuff. So, I am officially an Avon rep. Anyone that wants to buy or sell Avon PLEASE let me know! Today was a long day. Sadie was up a lot last night, Adam had to be to work at 6 am and I went to my Dad's to have a yard sale so we've been up since about 5 am. I'm not sure why she was up so much last night. Maybe she is about to go through another growth spurt. Anyhow, the yard sale was alright. We only made like $13 and I still have a bunch of stuff I'd like to get rid of. It was cold this morning, so I bundled Sadie up really well and she seemed to be fine. She was so cute in her winter clothes. Adam finished with work about 10am so he came over to my Dad's and helped us out. We thought we'd get some traffic after noon, from the after church crowd. Unfortunately we were wrong! That's okay though, at least we sold some stuff. After the yard sale Adam, Sadie and I came back home and I cleaned up a bit and took a shower. We had a one day, 70% off coupon for JC Penney, so we went there and got Sadie a super warm winter outfit. We also went to Toys r us and looked at high chairs. Now that we have a real dining room we can get whatever size high chair we want. Everything is so cute, it's hard to decide. We didn't really see anything we were crazy about (price). That's okay, Sadie has her bumbo and she should be fine in that for at least a month or 2. We ran by publix to get cereal and then we came home and cooked dinner. Tonight Sadie got to try sweet potatoes for the first time. Dr. Rosi had said we should start getting Sadie used to the texture of food and the spoon. She said Sadie probably would eat or swallow, but it's good to get her accustomed. We decided to try it out. She actually ate some of her potatoes! when I first put her in her bumbo we were eating and she was getting bored so she was having a temper tantrum (see the pic!) so then i put a little taste of potato in her mouth and she totally stopped and as all into eating. She was actually opening her mouth a little and swallowing! Obviously this is new for her, so she was making a bit of a mess, but I was so excited for her. Well, back to work. This will be a bit of a long week, but hopefully a good one. I am super sleepy and Sadie just went down before I started this, so I am going to get some nice, wonderful sleep. Peace. Loves.

Mad Sadie

Sadie had her 4 month check up with Dr. Rosi yesterday. She is 11 lbs 15 oz (if she hadn't pee peed right before they weighed her she probably would've been 12lbs!) she is 24 inches long and her head is 15 3/4 inches. For hr head she is in the 25th percentile, height he is 45th percentile and weight she is the 12th percentile. Dr. Rosi said that she is growing well, she's a small little monkey but she looks good. Dr. Rosi also said we should start getting her used to spoons. To try giving her a bit of squash or sweet potatoes so she can feel a different texture in her mouth. I'm not sure I'm quite ready to stat her with the foods yet, but I will be getting her some rubber headed baby spoons to suck on and play with so she can become acquainted with them. Yesterday Sadie got some shots. She was so cute and cuddly and then they had to poke her and she got very upset. She was doing this super sad shriek-cry. It was awful. She cried and screamed for about 3-3 1/2 hours. I tried to nurse her, give her a bath, put her in her swing, cuddle her, we sat in the laundry room with the washer and dryer on...nothing worked. Finally, I guess she just decided she was done and from then on she was okay. About 20 minutes later she took a nap, woke up and she was fine. Today she seems better. Her leg is a big puffy, but she's alright. Anyhow. After Sadie went to bed last night, Adam and I moved our office into our bedroom and out of the dining area. So now we have an actual dining room. I am so excited. Adam closes tonight so we haven't had dinner in there yet (since we've moved it around) but I am looking forward to fun family dinners in there! Our room is a bit cramped now, but we don't spend much time in here anyways. I have read that it is "bad" feng shui to have electronics in your bedroom, supposedly it decreases the ability to get a restful night's sleep. I wonder if that is true. I tried not to think about it last night. I didn't want the power of suggestion to interrupt my sleep. Well, I hope everyone is well. We're supposed to have a yard sale this weekend, but the weather channel says it's going to rain. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that it won't rain until Sunday! Peace. Loves

Giggling Sadie

Sunday pics

Beautiful Sunday

Today we went to the downtown fall art and music festival. It was great! Sadie actually was okay being in her stroller for most of it, she fussed a couple of times but we just took her out for a bit and she was just fine. Adam got to hold a baby alligator! We got some yummy food and watched this blues band at the band shell. Since it was such a beautiful day and we didn't really want to be indoors, we came home and took Sadie out to the playground. She got to sit in a "baby" swing. She is getting better at sitting up so we were able to let her swing. She must have had a fun time because she was smiling and giggling (the video). Anyhow, Later, Sadie took a short nap and I cleaned up the house and cooked dinner. She has actually been really fussy this evening, but I am sure it's because she has had a long, activity filled day. I finally got her to sleep about 10 minutes ago. She was fussy, calmed down so I gave her a bath and then she was looking sleepy, but she kept waking herself up. Oh well, She's resting now. I am sleepy myself and it's back to work tomorrow. Sadie has her 4 month check up on Tuesday, so I'll let everyone know how that went. Plus this coming weekend we will be having a yard sale at my Dad's house. We need to clean some stuff out of our house (plus extra money is always good). Anyhow, I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week. Peace. Loves.

Happy 4 months Sadie!

Sadie is 4 months old today! She is getting so big. We were going to go downtown to a free blues concert this evening, but we were kinda tired. We ended up running to Target to pick up a couple of things, then chilling on the couch. Sadie is sleeping. It seems that she may be coming to the end of her colic. She has been much happier the past few days. I am glad that she seems to be feeling better. I hope that her tummy problems continue to ease up. Gigi is coming tomorrow to watch Sadie while Adam and I are at work. Then, Sunday we are supposed to go to the downtown fall arts festival. Hopefully the weather will be nice. I have been considering selling Avon to make some supplemental income. I am not sure that many people will buy it, but I figure it's worth a try! So if anyone needs Avon, or knows someone who does. They have a lot of really neat products and their cosmetics are some of the best (and the price is great!). Anyhow, I hope that everyone has a good weekend. Peace. Loves

cheeky monkey!

Today was a good day. We voted, ran a few errands went for a walk and just hung out. Adam is at work now and Sadie is sleeping. I am listening to Dave Matthews Band and blogging! Th picture of the sun that I posed is a painting downtown that Adam took a pic of this past Sunday. I just love this painting and I would love to have this sun as a tattoo! When I look at it I just feel calm and there is something reassuring about it. I can't explain why. Maybe that sounds weird. Anyhow...Sadie's personality is developing ore and more every day. She is starting to be a little cheeky monkey. She will arch her back and act like she's going to cry, then we go to pick her up and she smiles and giggles! We have started just trying to distract her attention to something else to head off any monkey business. I noticed that she was finally pulling the toys on her swing, which activated the lights and music. She did it once and got so excited, but her arm are just a bit too short still to be able to get a good enough grip to set it off every time. So, I put an extra link on each side (from another toy) on the pull toys and now she can activate the lights and sound really easily and she loves it. It's so funny to see her get excited every time. I think she forgets that she is the one that made it happen. As far as her tummy goes, we have been switching between breast and formula. It seems to be helping some. She has fuss days and better days. I'm thinking that if we just replace some of the breast milk with formula and I stay milk free, it may be enough to keep her tummy troubles at bay. Last night was a bad night. She didn't even enjoy her bath, she screamed the whole time. Tonight was better. Adam and I also think Sadie is going through a growth spurt. She has been eating a lot more that in that last couple of weeks. She is eating at least 6 ounces at each feeding (from the bottle). I am glad she is wanting to eat more. I can't wait until her 4 month check up. I want to see how much she weighs now. Well, I am going to do some laundry and dishes. It's weird to know that tonight we'll know who our new president will be! Hope ya'll have a good day. Peace.

week of cuteness!

Long week

This has been a long week! I am so happy that Adam, Sadie and I have a whole day together. This past Thursday was our Halloween party at work. We had a big haunted house, food, pumpkin patch. It was really cool. All the residents seemed to have a really good time. I was at work late every night this past week, so I haven't had much time with my two sweeties. This week things will be back to normal. Sadie had a good first Halloween. Adam dressed her in her costume that Gigi got for her and brought her to the party. Last night we went to see a Grateful Dead cover band at the band shell. We didn't get to stay for the whole thing, Sadie was getting really fussy. We had a good time though. Anyhow, since it's been pretty chilly this last week, Sadie has been able to get all bundled up. She looks so cute with her little jackets and hats on. I can't believe that October is over. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. Well, I am sleepy so I'll post a good slide show and go to bed! Go Gators!!

Fun Sunday

Today was a good day. Sadie had trouble getting to sleep last night so she ended up slepping later this morning. Adam got to sleep even later! Anyhow, I made eggs and turkey with cheese for b-fast (yummy!) and opened up the glass doors and enjoyed the cool air. I even got to sit and look at my new Crate and Barrel catalouge! We went to Toys r us and looked at high chairs. We are trying to figure out if we want a regular high chair or the space saver. I think we decided on the space saver. I love the other chair we had origianlly wanted, but we just don't have the room for it. Later after that we went to have lunch at Cabana Cove and I got yummy sweet potato fries. By then it was almost 2pm. Adam had to go to his friend Bobby's house to hang out for his birthday (Bobby's). He was there, but Sadie and I got a visit from Mama, Papa and cousin Kat. Sadie was fussy for the majority og the time they were here (sorry ya'll) but it was still good to see them. When Adam got back we went over to Alfred A. Ring park and had a nice long hike. I had Sadie in the front carrier and she seemed to have a good time. She loves to look at trees and flowers and hear all the sounds in nature. She looks around with her eye big and open. After we got home we made dinner and gave Sadie a bath. She had a tough time getting to sleep again tonight (she keeps waking up crying) but she is sleeping pretty good now. She is still having problems with her tummy. Adam and I thought it may have (in addition to the stuff we've already been working on) to do with her bottles. We have tried the Dr. Browns bottles, the Playtex Vent-Air and the Mam ones. We also have the Playtex drop-in nurser bottles. We had been using the "preformed" liner which don't really collapse as she eats and so she is still getting a lot of air. So, I had a "duh" moment and bought the bag liner instead (they collapse much better as she eats so there is almost no air). We have only used them a couple of times and they seem to do her good, but we'll have to wait and see. I can't imagine that they would be worse! Our annual halloween party that my job throws for the community is this Thursday. I am excited. This year we will have a haunted house and lots of other fun stuff. It's gonna be a busy week getting all the final stuff done. I will definitely post pictures! Gigi got Sadie a cute pink flower costume so we will take pics of that too! Anyhow, I have laundry and dishes to do so...Loves!

Beautiful baby

painted pictures

This is the picture I painted for Sadie's room. I have had a hard time finding art that looks good with her bedding, so...I did it myself. No, it's not perfect, but I like it. I had wanted to paint her room, but I found out that if you paint a baby's room with regular paint it's really toxic and they have to stay out of the room for like a month. They do make "non-toxic" paint but it's $38 a gallon and babies still have to be out of the room for 2 weeks. That won't work. Instead my mom is letting me have this bookcase that used to be in my room when I was growing up. I am going to paint it (it's white-ish right now) and also paint a dresser we have in her closet and her white toy box too so her room will be more colorful. Hopefully it'll turn out nicely. I'll post pictures when we get it all done. Anyhow...Sadie is doing well. We had dinner at Poppa and Gma Carrie's house last night. Grandma and Grandpa J (my dad's parent's) were there. We all had a really good time. Sadie goes back to her pediatrician for a follow up to the digestion stuff we've been dealing with. Her appointment is on Thursday. She seems to be doing much better than she was, although am not with her most of the day. She was a bit fussy tonight but I think she was just really tired. Adam and I decided that she is at the age where we need to be really vigilant about an evening routine. Her days are so erratic. Some days she's with me, some days Adam, some days Adam's mom. Unfortunately there isn't much we do about that right now, but I really want to make her evenings predictable. So we're going to start being better about that. Adam and I are doing fine. both just tired and want more time together but I am thankful for the time we do have together. Well, Sadie is sleeping and I need to work on laundry and cuddle time with my cute hubby! Hope you enjoy the cute pics of Sadie! Loves.

Dinner with the fam.

Family time!

Sadie has had an exciting last few days. Aunt Dona and Uncle Ron (my mom's sis and her hubby) came down from Alabama to see the family and finally meet Sadie. They got here on Saturday and hung out at Mama and Papa's house, then on Sunday evening we all went out to dinner. Sadie got to see her Gigi, Grandaddy, Mama, Papa, Aunt Dona and Uncle Ron. We got eat yummies at the Olive Garden and visit for a bit. Sadie seemed to enjoy being cuddles by everyone. Today Sadie and I drove down to Ocala and spent some more time visiting with Mama, Papa, Aunt Dona and Uncle Ron. She got to sit outside on the veranda and meet Bebe, the dog. Aunt Dona and I snuck off for a bit to so some shopping and have lunch. Sadie got to spend time with Mama. Aunt Dona bought Sadie some clothes and I got a cute pair of shoes. It was really nice. Later this afternoon We met Adam at home (he had been at work since 5 am) and went to Sam's club to buy candy for our community halloween party. I am getting really excited about the party. We will have a haunted house, games, food and all kinds of stuff. It should be lots of fun.
The last few nights, Sadie has been waking up at 4-4:30am and staying up for an hour or so. We went through this a few weeks ago. I am thinking that she may be going through another growth spurt. She wakes up and eats and wants to play and be cuddles a bit, then goes back to sleep. I guess I just need to go to bed earlier for a while. Tomorrow I'm working, then Thursday Sadie has her surgical follow up with Dr. Bierle. Anyhow, I've had a busy day, so I'm going to take a bath and go to bed! Loves.

Video

Below is a cute video of Sadie. This is the first time she has done this, usually she just sits in the bath and smiles while I wash her. It is amazing how much she has changed (mentally) in the last month. Also, the video looks black at first, I forgot to take the lens cap off for a sec. Pause the music before you play the video. BEWARE...my annoying mommy voice is going on through this video...sorry! Hope ya'll enjoy!

Bath time. Play to see!

cutest baby ever!

Not much to say

So, I don't really have much to blog about tonight. Sadie has had a full day of gas drops and no dairy in mommy. She already seems to be doing better. She had a bloated tummy of gas this evening and was barely fussy. I rocked her a bit and patted her and put her down to sleep! I just wanted to post this slide show of these pics Adam took earlier today. She is sooo adorable and I had to share them. Loves.

Little Tummy (happy three months Sadie!)

Sadie saw Dr. Fortunato today. She weighs 10 lbs 8 oz. Dr. Fortunato said that her incision sights are healing nicely and she is growing well (although Adam and I both thought her weight would be a small issue). We did speak with her about Sadie's fussiness and her gas problems. Sadie was very distressed while we were there and Dr. Fortunato said she is definitely a colicky baby and gave us some things to try. I have to cut out dairy and spinach (I eat fresh spinach 1-2 times a day!) and we are also supposed to give her some mylicon drops 3-4 times a day. We go back in 2 weeks, to see if those changes have helped. I really hope they will. If things are going better I can try to add dairy and spinach back in. Adam liked Dr. Fortunato and said she was really great with Sadie. Other than her tummy troubles Sadie is doing really well. She is growing and reaching (and exceeding some) the milestones for her age. She loves to be on her tummy so she can look around. She loves to ride in the front carrier on me so she can be in the mix with everyone. She is reaching out for toys and grabbing them and putting them to her mouth. I know that none of these things is really a big deal, but to me they are all so amazing. It's so great to see how far she has come in only 3 months. Adam got a call from Helzberg Diamonds yesterday. They want to interview him for the manager position. He will interview on Thursday, so maybe he'll be able to get a better job while he's working on school.
Adam is such an amazing hubby and daddy. I have to give him snaps for turning out so great and for coming into his own, and becoming such an independent man. He has really grown up a lot since we were younger (duh, right?). I guess in some ways he hasn't had much choice. For whatever the reason, I think he's great. Loves, ya'll.

Baby girl

Sunday at Mama and Papa's

Today was a long day. We started early, 6:30 am, and put some of our stuff out for the yard sale at our community. We tried to make some cash, but only made $10. I sold a pooh bear carrier and Adam sold his old computer speakers. That's okay I guess. We finished up around 11:30 am and drove down to Ocala to see Mama and Papa. Sadie did okay for most of the ride there. She got fussy when we were on I-75 close to the Ocala exit. She cried and gave me the sad face until we got there. She seemed to have a good time getting lots of cuddles and kisses from Mama. Unfortunately Papa was feeling a bit "under the weather" so he got to admire her from afar. Next time Sadie will have to get extra Papa kisses! Sadie's tummy has been bothering her. It seems like every time she eats she gets very bad gas and starts screaming. She'll pull her little legs up to her tummy and squinch her face up and the shoot the out straight as a board and cry. I feel so bad for her. I don't have any other kids so I don't know what is normal, but this doesn't seem normal. Last night and today have been the worst I've seen her. She was "climbing" up my chest. We go to the pediatrician on Tuesday so I am going to ask her about it. Adam was doing some research about gassy babies online and we think she may have lactose overload. She has all of the symptoms and I have milk oversupply, which is the main cause. Basically what it is, is when she is drinking breast milk she is getting too much of the fore milk and not enough hind milk. My body has a strong milk letdown reflex and is causing my milk to be imbalanced, so her tummy gets full from fore milk before she gets the fatty hind milk and that is causing a lactose overload. This causes her to have excessive gas, bloating, watery poos, etc. The really crappy part is that these babies that have this get gas relief from eating again (which is why she farts and poops a lot while she is eating) and causes the same thing to happen, creating a cycle. I was hoping that since she gets a lot of pumped breast milk that it would resolve itself, but, because my milk may be "imbalanced" the same thing happens. We don't know if this is truly what is going on, but it seems like the most likely scenario. I know that babies can be fussy, that's okay. I just (and I'm not the only one) feel like she shouldn't have to have such a hard time eating. Anyhow. We'll ,maybe get some answers on Tuesday. It's 9pm now and I'm going to go watch Family Guy!! Loves to ya!

Sadie is so cute but...

...who does she look like? I say Adam, he says me! both pictures of Adam and I are from when we were 4 months old. Sadie isn't quite that old yet but she definitely is getting a less new, squished baby look. This week seemed to go by really fast. I work tomorrow, but Sunday we are both off. We will be trying to sell some of our stuff at the community yard sale, Sunday, in the afternoon we will be going to Ocala to see Mama and Papa. They just got back from a long trip to Europe (I am sooo jealous!) I hope that when Adam and I reach our 5 year anniversary we can go somewhere nice and romantic together. We didn't have much of a wedding and no honeymoon, so I'd really like to have a belated one! Maybe on a cruise or to a Sandals resort or even Italy (yeah right!). We'll have to wait until Sadie gets a bit older. I told Adam that when Sadie gets to be 3 or 4 I really want to go on a Disney cruise. I've heard really fantastic things about them. It seems like so much fun. I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise a few years ago and it was a lot of fun. Anyhow...I am rambling. Tuesday is Sadie's surgical follow up with her new pediatrician, Dr. Fortunato. Adam has to work and can't be there. I really hope that everything goes well with this new pediatrician. I feel so weird about switching doctors, but I guess I'd rather Sadie have a good Dr. taking care of her. Adam applied for a job at Shands at AGH, send him good, yummy love so he'll hopefully get this job and we'll be in a better place. I think it'd make him feel a lot better about himself too. I just love him so, so much. Today when I came home from work for lunch, Sadie was napping and Adam and I were just sitting talking ad I asked him what he had been doing with her today. He said they had gone on a walk, he read to her, all the normal stuff. Then he said that he made sock puppets named Emily and Todd and was doing a sock puppet show for her while she was siting in her bumbo. I almost started crying. That is why Adam is my husband and why I continually fall more and more in love with him. He is such a wonderful, kind hearted man. I am so very lucky to have him in my life and as my husband and the father of our child. Again...I ramble. So...who does she look like?

Tuesday afternoon

Sadie is napping right now and I am, well was, picking up the house, doing laundry and updating my blog. Adam is at work, he should be home in about an hour. So far a slow day. The last week or so Sadie has been getting up at 6:30 to eat. I think that's a good sign, she has been eating much more than she was before the surgery. I don't know if it's because she is more comfortable or because she is just at a growth spurt. Whatever the reason, I am happy that she is eating good and growing bi! Today Sadie has bee having tummy time and practicing holding her head up. She is getting to be such a strong girl. She has a follow up with her new pediatrician next Tuesday. I am anxious to see how much she weighs now and how long she is!
I have been changing Sadie's room a bit to be a bit more fun (and pink!). I got these cool daisy lights from Ikea. I still have some more stuff to do,not a lot, but I'm trying to do it piece by piece so I can get cute, fun stuff.
Adm and I are both doing well. Adam found out he won't be done with school in February like we expected him to be, so that changes things a bit. Lately I have been thinking a lot about our path and what we are supposed to be doing. We keep pushing so hard for what we "want" (Adam to have a better ob while we're in school, to be able to be saving to buy a house...) and we aren't getting anywhere. We talked about it and we're just going to wait and see where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to do and hope that we're going to end up in a good place in the end. My dad says that everyone has to "work hard and pay their dues" and I know that's true, but sometimes it just feels like things will never fall into place. We try to remind each other how much we have to be thankful for and that we just need to remember all we have and that things will happen the way they are supposed to and we should be open and willing to learn the lessons we are being taught right now. Anyhow...Sadie is up, so I'm going to go play! Loves.

Friday night

Friday night was a new and fun experience for Sadie. We decided since it was so nice and cool out, we would go to the friday night free downtown concert. There was a southern rock/folksy type band playing. They were pretty good. Sadie enjoyed laying on the blankie, kicker her legs and listening to the music. She was giggling so much! We met a nice couple from North Dakota with an 18 month old named Camille. Camille was so interested in Sadie and really wanted to get close to her. She was so cute toddling around and clapping to the music. I look forward to seeing Sadie do all that cute stuff. I can't believe that October is almost here. Sometimes it seems like time goes by so slow, then I look back and it seems to go fast. This evening Sadie and I went to Joanne fabric and craft store to pick up some stuff to make cute art for her room. After she went to bed this evening I worked on it...it didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped. It kinds looks like it was made by a first grader! Back to the drawing board I guess. I gave been "re-doing" Sadie's room in colors and accents that I think fit her personality better. She had this purple and yellow pottery barn sunflower bedding but I just didn't feel like it fit her personality (kinda like the first name we chose for her!). So, I have been changing some stuff and it is starting to look really cute. Anyhow, Sadie is sleeping good right now and Adam will (hopefully) be home soon so I hope everyone sleeps well. Loves...

Adam's Bday

Yesterday was Adam's birthday, he had to work, but later we went to his parents' house and had a bbq to celebrate. Yesterday was also Adam's youngest brother Henry's birthday also, so there was lots to celebrate. It was really nice to visit and have cake with everyone. Sadie had a good time being passed around. We have a nice big hunk of leftover chocolate cake now!! Adam got lots of gifts and said he had a great time.
Sadie didn't get a good nap yesterday so she was a little fussy, but that's okay, I get fussy when I'm tired too! She took a shot nap during the bbq and went to bed a bit later than usual. Car rides have been better. Bubbe got us a mirror that has pictures and lights and music on it and Sadie really seems to enjoy it. I turn it on when we're in the car and she kicks her legs and giggles. Hopefully it will help so we can finally travel without having her scream the whole time!
Today I traveled to Orlando for a work event, it was fun. We bowled and sat through an awards ceremony. didn't bowl very well, but who cares! Anyhow. I'm off again tomorrow so I get to be with my monkey all day! Gigi will be coming over later tomorrow, so that will be nice to visit. Loves...

Uncle Dave

Ups and downs

Today Sadie got to meet her Uncle Dave (adam's good friend). He was driving from North Carolina, down to Fort Myers for a wedding this weekend and he is staying with us tomight. Dave and Adam met when Adam was going to school in Orlando at UCF. They (along with Dave's girlfriend at the time and another couple) lived together. Dave came down here last year about the same time for Adam's birthday (about the same time I got pregnant!) so I think it was neat for him to see Sadie. We went out for a nice dinner at Nappy's and Adam and Dave went out to Stubbie's for beers.
Last night was a rough night. Sadie was up quite a bit. She would wake up screaming, I would go into her room, pick her up and she would quickly fall back asleep. I tried feeding her a couple of times but she'd just go back to sleep. She did this about 6 or 7 times last night. I really hope that she is okay. I can't see anything wrong with her. She doesn't have a fever, her incisions look fine...I dunno what else to do. I did give her tylonol the second time she got up last night, but that didn't seem to make any difference. Today has been okay, Sadie has been pretty fussy. We had to run some errands and I really hated taking her out, I'm sure that it doesn't feel good for her to sit in that position. Plus, it's so hot outside. Anyhow, I am hoping that Sadie will have a better night tonight. As for me, I'm going to bed early...let's just hope the guys will be quiet when they get home! loves...
