New pics
I am posting 2 slideshows. one is just pics of Sa-Sa from this past week. The ones of her in the flower shirt and in the bathtub are from today. She never lays down in the bath anymore, but I guess today she just needed to relax! The pics of her with the mesh thing is her eating peaches. She was enjoying them immensely. The juice got all over her, but she was having fun. Sadie seems to be feeling much better. When we went to the doc for her follow up she looked good but had fluid behind her ears so Dr. Rosi went ahead and prescribed antibiotics. That way if she started to seem like the ears were bothering her over this pas weekend. We could just give it to her.
The other slideshow was from Father's day. We only got to see my Dad. Adam's Dad is in China! Tommy and my Mom were on the boat. We did get to see Tommy on Friday and give him his gift. We went out to the Flying biscuit for breakfast. Later my sis Mellina and her daughter Jerilyn went to my Dad's so we met them over there and went swimming. Sadie enjoyed her cousin. Well, 2 weeks from today, Sa-Sa will be 1! Hard to believe. Enjoy the pics
Today's Kabbalah:
When things are going haywire in our lives, or in the world, it's because there is darkness. Or rather, not enough Light.Today, remove the pockets of chaos from your life by revealing Light. It happens through restriction. Do something that is difficult. Against your nature. Out of the box. No strings attached.

Over a year!
As of June 14 I have been posting on this blog for a year! Pretty crazy. This time last year I was 10 days away from my due date. Crazy. A year has gone by so fast.
Sadie is sick again. Saturday morning she was kinda fussy and it has progressed from there. She has been running a temp of 102-103 since then. She is very irritable and unhappy. I feel terrible for her. Adam stayed home with her this morning and I got off work at 3 so he could go to work. Tomorrow Adam will be home with her again. As I type this she is crying a little and I feel terrible. She has been mostly crying since about 4pm today. Adam took her to Dr. Rosi's today and they said Sadie has a virus. There really isn't anything we can do besides treat the fever. I hope she gets some rest tonight. She was up most of last night. She 'll sleep for about 20-30 minutes at a time and then wake up crying. Earlier this morning Adam said she finally took a nice long nap (she stopped crying. Maybe she fell asleep). I feel so helpless. I can see in her eyes she feels terrible but I can't really do anything for her. We'll see what happens.
I took these pics on Thursday. My mom got her these cute hair ties and my Dad and Carrie got her the dress. She looks adorable!
Today's Kabbalah:
You know those times when we catch ourselves getting reactive, and we promise the other person we're going to "remain calm?" I bring this up because although we mean well, too often we stay stuck in the matrix of judgment and resentment.Today, don't work so hard to "remain" calm. Instead, decide to stay patient and not to get mad in the first place.

Sea World Saturday!
We made it down to Sea world on Saturday. Had a fun time. Unfortunately the weather didn't really cooperate. There was bad lightning and rain for quite a while. So, we stayed for a few hours then left. Good thing is we have passes! So, we can go back. Sadie got to see the penguins, dolphins and sting rays. Adam got to ride the "manta". All in all it was a good day. Sadie was exhausted after (as were we!). Sunday My dad and Carrie came over to visit. They'd been in the Keys for 2 weeks so we all wanted to visit. It was nice to get to see them! I am so jealous of my Dad's beautiful tan. Today we both went back to work. Adam is closing and I just put miss Sadie down. I am posting 2 slide shows. 1 is from Sea World, the other is from visiting with my Dad and Carrie. Enjoy. Loves.
Daily Kabbalah:
Challenges are opportunities. I'd just like to remind you of this timeless principle for the 2,344,343th time.Believe me, I know seeing negative events as opportunities (rather than punishment) is one of the hardest things a person can do. Just remember, it's second nature to your soul and the more you practice this perspective, the more it will become second nature to your rational consciousness.Today, watch your experience change as your attitude changes towards things that would normally bother you.

TGI almost F
The weekend is almost here and Adam and I are actually both off. We may go to Sea World on Saturday. It just depends on the weather. Other than that, not much to report. Sadie is great! I am posting some cute pics from the past few days. Hope you enjoy. Loves
Daily Kabbalah:
"Will I see you tonight?" How many times have you said that to someone — not because you really wanted them to show up — but only to validate your going?Same with arguing. When we try to convince someone we're right, it's often not because we care about the person, but rather we need their affirmation to feel good about our own beliefs. It is a no-win situation because we're a slave to others' reactions and our contentiousness pushes people away.Today — be open to listening to a variety of viewpoints. Accept people as they are. You may learn something from them.

Busy Monday
Today was a crazy day at work. It made the day whiz by. Sometimes I like busy days, it makes the day go by and I get to see Sadie! We had a nice evening. We went to the playground and swang. She had her dinner and we had a walk. She's clean and sleeping baby! Enjoy the pics. Loves
Today's Kabbalah:
A simple way to get to the core of relationship drama, and to find the nugget of gold hiding in the mess, is to have empathy for the other. "What's his perspective of the situation? What's his pain?"Empathy is a wonderful tool. Seeing the situation from another side helps us see a new side of ourselves. And it pulls the plug on quicksand thoughts and sour feelings. "Sounds nice Yehuda, but I don't want to feel this person's pain today. I want to strangle them!" I understand, but as universal law teaches us, you'll only strangle yourself in the end.Today, when a loved one sends your reactive meter shooting from 1 to 10, remember empathy.

Happy 1st Birthday Mowgli!!
Today we went to my cousin Julia's son's (Sadie's 2nd cousin) 1st birthday party. We had a great time. Mowgli was born at 27 weeks and they weren't sure that he would make it. Now he's 1 and thriving! He and Sadie had a ball. I got to see some of my family and an old friend of the family was there with her daughter (who just turned 1 a few weeks ago). After we got home from that Adam's friend Bobby and his girlfriend Liz came over and we hung out for a bit. Sadie was exhausted after her long day so she went down quick! She didn't even fuss much when I was washing her hair. Adam is off Wednesday and I'm pretty sure I will be too, so we may head down to Orlando and go to Sea World. My mom bought us 2 year passes! I haven't been since I was like 4. We'll see how the week. goes. Anyhow, Here are the pics from Mowgli's party. Loves
Today's Kabbalah:
How many times do we have a predicament or a good idea and the only way to make it real for ourselves is to ask other people what they think. While it's important to reach out, it's equally important to trust our gut and go with what we know.Today, follow your own advice.

Wednesday
Not too much to say, just wanted to post some really cute pics of Sadie. They are from this week up to this evening (the ones of her playing with her toy and in the bath). Adam and I have both been working this week. I had Monday off but Adam had to work. I went over to Adam's parents' house for a BBQ (with Sadie, of course). Sadie is doing well. I just put her down. They said she was silly at daycare today (no surprise). I am hoping to get a bike seat for her this weekend so we can ride! We'll see. Loves.
Today's Kabbalah:
Kabbalah reveals that when a person who has avoided spirituality comes before the Creator and is asked why he didn't change, he will take out his bag of excuses: I was too busy trying to survive, I gave to charity, it's not like I ever killed somebody, I didn't know you really existed.God will then tell him, "you have all the excuses, but you did not accomplish anything in this lifetime. Now you must return to the world and do something!"Change something today. It can be the slightest thing like committing to not say a certain negative word or behaving a certain way. Fill your bag with shining examples of effort and personal growth

Alligators are scary!
So, Adam and I were both off today and it wasn't supposed to rain until late today. We decided to go check out the La Chua trail. It goes out on to the prairie and there is an overlook you can go up on. Henry came with us and we started out. It was great...hot and humid but fun. On the way there we saw tons of gators from a fairly safe distance. We get to the look out, hang out for a bit and head back. We get to the end of the trail part and almost up to where it is a board walk and there is HUGE gator sitting in the path. Now, keep in mind I have Sadie strapped to my back. We were probably 20-30 feet from the gator just standing there trying to figure out what to do. He didn't look like he'd be moving for a while and we couldn't just stay there forever. Adam starts to go closer, to go around it and it moves to the side of the trail closer to the water. He stopped for a second and as he was about to start going around it another gator comes walking up on the other side!!! So now we're standing there 20 or so feet from 2 big gators and I'm VERY nervous. All I'm thinking is 'get Sadie out of here safely'. So we standing there discussing what to do (there was a ranger back at the look out about a mile away). Do we go get the ranger, or just wait it out. So about the time we're talking the second gator walks past the first gator and goes in the water. At that point I was talking to my dad and he said (and Adam agreed) that gators can't run far or fast on land so try and go around him quickly and quietly. So we did. We walked right past it. We were about 5 feet away from a 10-15 foot 200+ gator! He just looked at us as we passed. It was so freaky. After all that we made it back to the car safe. The funny part is that there were a bunch of people out there on the trail so I am surprised that the gators came up like that. Yikes! After that we met Adam's mom at Too Jays for lunch. It was so yummy. We ran a couple of errands and have been hanging out. Sadie is in bed now. She was great today. She got a little fussy on the hike but it was super humid and hot and although the sun was in her eyes, she kept pulling her hat off. Once we got in the a/c she was fine. Well, I am tired, no work tomorrow but lots of chores! Hopefully I won't have any gator nightmares!! Loves.
Today's Kabbalah:
All the negative actions and all the positive actions in the world are feathers on a cosmic scale. When we're dealing with such a level of precise measure we can begin to understand the impact we can have on the world. One positive action can tip the scales, as can one negative one. This is something we hear all the time and it's not easy to live because, hey, we just don't see. If we did, then we would all live with consciousness and human dignity.Today, let this thought penetrate your mind: Each and every one of us can make a huge difference. The more we're aware of this, the more we'll believe that the consciousness of every word we say, and everything we do, can and does make a difference in the world.

Thursday pics
My Dad came over on Thursday. He and Carrie are going to the keys for 2 weeks and he hadn't seen Sadie in a couple of weeks so he came by on his way back to Shands to say hi! It worked our perfect. I was off and Sadie and I were just hanging! I would have more pics but the batteries in our camera died and we don't have new ones! I worked today and Adam is at work right now. I am just enjoying some quiet time listening to Dave Matthews Band (I love them). Anyhow. I work tomorrow and Adam closes again. We'll have Sunday together. Maybe it'll be better weather so we can do something fun. Loves.
Today's Kabbalah:
Before we came down to this physical world, we each signed a contract in the endless committing to help a certain number of people. However, most of us forgot our promise and we avoid helping because it's uncomfortable. And yet, it's in those uncomfortable corners of our lives where the most love and Light is brought out of hiding.Shine today. Be there for someone (especially when it's challenging.)

Silly Sa-Sa
Adam took these picks of her and I just wanted to post them because they are so funny. It cracks me up how he had her posted up on the pillow with her bottle. And her funny little faces. Anyhow. What's up with this weather. I'm off tomorrow and was hoping to take Sadie to the park and maybe swimming...that's not going to happen. Oh well. I have some errands I need to run. Loves.
Daily Kabbalah:
Spirituality isn't what comes over us in moments of divine rapture. It's the slow burn of daily practice, being kind to others when we are grumpy, constantly looking for the lesson, thinking of what we can improve, and all those difficult challenges we face every moment.Today, keep taking baby steps towards becoming more tolerant, more communicative, and more generous. Slow and steady wins the race.

Monday
Just wanted to post some cute pics of Sadie. They are from last week, but I like them so...Not much to report. Adam and I both worked today, Sadie went to daycare. She was very funny this evening during dinner. She was not having her squash and corn. She much prefers fruit! Anyhow. I have been getting her to drink from a sippy cup. Also, she will sometimes eat small pieces of cheerios. She likes to make a mess first, then ea them. If you try to put the pieces in her mouth she gags (even if you put it on the tip of her tongue). When she does it, it's okay. She is such a funny kid. Loves.
Today's Kabbalah:
Giving of ourselves is how we connect to God. When we get past the what's-in-it-for-me mindset, we invite clarity, peace, success and joy — and all the Creator's attributes — to flood our being.Today, share with no expectations.
