Today is "the day"...

Well, today is my "due date" and it's about 4 pm and no action!! I had an appointment this morning with the midwife, normally they just measure my belly, listen to her heartbeat and send me on my way. Today she did those things, plus she checked me...still no change (1 cm and 60% effaced) she also gave me a non stress test to check on the baby because she hasn't been moving very much the last day and a half. Luckily Sadie perked up when she put the monitors on me and we got some good kicks out of her, so everything is ok. If I don't deliver by next week I have to have a biophysical profile done to check the amount of amniotic fluid, the condition of the placenta and Sadie's overall well being. Hopefully she'll be here before I have to have that done, but I think she's gonna hang on until we force her out!!! Tomorrow morning I am going to the chiropractor's because my low back is KILLING me. Anyhow, things are moving right along. Adam and I are anxious and excited and just trying to take it one day at a time...(loves)

Last picture?

Well, it's June 23, I'm due on the 25th!! It's so exciting...and aggravating! I decided to post this pic because it may be the last picture of me pregnant. I feel like I look huge. Sadie is definitely taking up as much space as possible, I don't think my belly can get any bigger! Adam rubs it and reads and talks to it every night, it's really sweet. Last night he said to it/her (as he was reading) "sadie you need to come out I wanna read to your face" it was really funny. I keep wondering if I'll go past my due date and have to be induced or if I'll have her soon. We shall see...(loves)

Waiting for Sadie

Well, I went to my 39th week appointment...no action yet. The midwife said the heart sounds good and that it's just a matter of time! Adam and I are both excited and just counting the days! It's funny, you plan for this for so many months with a due date in mind but babies seem to go on their own time schedule. I'm still working full time, it's tiring at times but it's also nice to be able to keep moving at this point in my pregnancy. My next appointment is next Wednesday (my due date) so we'll just have to wait and see what happens between now and then! Sadie is still moving her little butt around in my tummy. I think I will miss that part of being pregnant, but it'll be wonderful to have her and cuddle her and smell her sweet baby smell! We'll keep ya posted! (loves)

Pregnancy

I thought since I am getting to the end of this journey that I would post a few pics of me pregnant. It goes from 12 weeks to 7 months to about the beginning of the 9th month. I have to say that I have really enjoyed being pregnant. In the beginning we weren't even expecting to be able to keep this baby. They told us she wouldn't make it. Now, here we are, so many months later and we're expecting her any day! It has been so wonderful to enjoy all the stages of pregnancy. I have felt really great and still do (although I'm slowing down a bit) I feel so thankful to have such a wonderful husband and supportive and loving family and friends. I am really looking forward to this next big step in our lives. So stay tuned because the fun is about to begin...(loves)
