Poor sick Sadie

So, Sadie has had a cough and "cold" for several weeks now. We have been doing everything Dr. Rosi told us to. Lift the head of her bed up, humidifier in her room, nasal saline. Nothing has really seemed to help. On top of it all she has been having trouble with constipation. We finally were able to get into to see Dr. Rosi today. I had to work but Adam closes tonight so he took her. Well...Sadie has bronchitis, an ear infection and pink eye! I told Adam DCF will probably be knocking at our door soon! Dr. Rosi said Sadie couldn't go to school the rest of today or tomorrow. I had to leave work early because Adam couldn't get off of work. Luckily I'm already off tomorrow. Sadie is now on amoxicillin (for her ears), py...something (for her eyes) and she has to take albuterol through a nebulizer every 4 hours (for her lungs). I feel so terrible for her. Also, Dr. Rosi said we can giver her half a cap of miralax for constipation, since prunes don't seem to work. She will go back in a week for a recheck. Adam says she weighs 13.75 pounds, almost 14!!! At first she didn't mind the nebulizer treatments, now when she has to do it, she screams. The good thing about that is that she's inhaling lots of good medicine! Tomorrow I'm off so I'll be able to be with her. Other than that craziness, everything with us is good. Adam has a cold again. I feel bad for him too. He needs to rest but he is only 1 of 2 key holders. He has to be at work.Tomorrow Adam's brother Ross and his girlfriend Carolina are supposed to come over for dinner. I hope Sadie will get lots of good rest and be ready for a couple of visitors! Well, Sadie is all bundled and sleeping in her nice warm, cozy crib so I'm going to go relax! Loves.
Today's Kabbalah:
When something triggers a reaction within you, it's almost impossible not to react. Simply telling you not to react is not always enough motivation. But thinking about cause and effect usually does the trick.Today, when you are about to indulge in some reactive behavior, think about how you will feel five minutes, five days, or five months down the road. Learn to see the future in the present moment, and you will have the impetus you need to change your behavior here and now.
