kinda crazy...
So, unfortunately we forgot to take pics of Thanksgiving...it was fun. We went to my Dad's house for lunch and Adam's parents for dinner. We all had a great time at both places. Nothing too exciting to say about it other than it was a great time and we got to visit with family (which is always wonderful). The rest of this weekend has been a little crazy. We found out that Sadie's crib was part of a huge crib recall. Apparently these (among a couple MILLION others) cribs have a defect with the drop side railing. The support (plastic) was breaking and kids were getting caught between the rail and mattress and suffocating! 1 child died (that's been reported) and quite a dew more have been injured. Anyways, so I hear about this on the news. I go and check, just to be sure and Sadie's crib was on the list! This was Friday night-incidentally I debated waking Sadie up and putting her in the pack and play but I decided to just let her sleep and check on her a bunch. Saturday morning we went to target and returned our crib (as directed by the government website, the crib manufacturer and Target guest services). They gave us a store credit for the full amount of the crib and we bought a new one as well as a new changing table. I was surprised at how easy it was considering we purchased it from Target (the worst place to have to return something) almost 2 years ago and no longer have the receipt. Our original crib was a crib/changer combo so we also had to get the changing table. Anyhow, after all that we found out Adam's car has a crack in the radiator! So, now we'll have to get that fixed. Luckily Tommy (my Mom's hubby) used to own his own mechanic shop so he is going to help us get the part and do the work for us (THANK GOD!!). So...it's kinda been a crazy weekend. Plus, Sadie has been fighting a cold. She has a runny nose and seems overly tired. No fever but just kinda sickly. I am so worried this is going to turn into an ear infection...hopefully not. I just know that when she has so much nose junk she tends to get ear infections. We'll just hope for the best. I know how bad it feels to get them so much. She is in good spirits though. Playing and being silly. Well, enjoy the pics!!! Oh...the pic of her in her highchair, she's eating a banana, she can hold them and take bites now!! We just have to make sure she doesn't bite off too much. she claps and is so proud of herself! Also, the one of her and Adam, they were having "fort" time under our bed.So silly. Loves.
