So, Sadie is 2! I am a little sad, but I love seeing her grow and change. It was a pretty low key bday for her.
This past week and a half has been kind of crazy. On a high note, one of my best friends, Jenn, had her baby boy. He is beautiful and I am so happy for her. That was on Thursday night. Earlier in the week, was a major low. In the middle of the night Monday night/Tuesday morning, Carolina's (Ross's girlfriend)parents house was broken into and her little (16 years old) brother was killed. I won't go into details but it was a long, sad week. We went to the funeral on Thursday and it was super sad. So, I have been trying to remember how incredibly blessed I am and remember to take the time out to love my husband and daughter and everyone around me and not take ANYTHING for granted.
On a happier note. Sadie spent her birthday with Adam and I. We played and swam and had lunch with Bubbe, Grandpa and uncle Henry. It was a great day. Gigi and Granddaddy sent her balloons and Adam and I gave her one of our presents (the chalk board). She got to play with her new present from Mama and Papa (the doll cradle). She also spent some time in her other present from Adam and I, which we had given her a few weeks ago. She was growing out of her little chair/rocker that she loves to sit in. So, Mom and I went down to Pottery Barn kids and bought her a big overstuffed kids chair. She loves it and I love that the cover is washable! We are having a Bday party for her on Sunday so more Bday pics to follow. My sister Mellina and her daughter Jerilyn are coming down from Jacksonville tomorrow and staying with us this weekend. I am super excited for that. Sadie and Jer bear will get lots of good cousin time. ;)
Oh! the first pic is the banner I made for Sadie's Bday party on Sunday. She LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba, so that's sort of the theme. The decorations are only online and they are kinda pricey. So, I used my printer and some good ol' fashion hard work and made some cute stuff. I'll post pics of the other stuff I made!
