What's old is new! Pics of Sadie below, next post! :)

My mom had given this china hutch (the top part is not in any pics but it is sitting in our office) a while back because she got a BEAUTIFUL buffet from Tommy's grandparent's house. I have always liked the "bones" of this piece bur it was always a little too country for me. When she gave it to me I asked her if she monded if Ipainted it. Well, that was in January...I fianlly did it. I LOVE how it turned out and I did it all myself, on my patio and in our office! This past Friday night I sanded it down (and striped the top), Saturday night I put a tarp down and painted it an off white to match our dining room chairs, after it was dry I put it on the patio and re-stained the top to match our dining table and the wood in the chairs. I also spray painted the brass handles, knobs and hinges black. I was going to get new handles but everything I liked as kind of expensive. I decided I would just paint the ones I had and save up for the ones I wanted...turns out I like these way better! Anyhow. I decided to leave the center door off and take the magnet off and leave it open. I am so happy with how it turned out. Any opinions? Loves

Big girl!!

Sadie is 23 months today!! In one month she will be 2! I can't believe it. The pics are kind of out of order, blogger uploads them weird. But, Sadie has been doing new stuff, most importantly sleeping in her "big girl" bed. We put the twin back in her room, just to try it for naps, and left her crib up. She took a nap in it, then that night she climbed up in there at bed time. We let her sleep in it. The whole next week she kept choosing to sleep in that bed! After a week of her doing that we took her crib down! She loves her new bed. The pics don't show it but we did put a bed rail up so she won't fall out. She did sleep in it for naps without one but I was a little worried she would roll out. So, now the crib is under our bed until we another have another baby or decide we're done making babies! Luckily we have a huge, tall bed to store it under (thanks Mama & Papa).

The other new thing Sadie has been doing is playing with her baby doll. All of a sudden she decided she wanted to be a little mommy. She rocks it and holds it and covers it with her blankie. She was even giving it her milk the other day. I got her little stroller down and she pushes the baby around in it. So cute! She'll say "night night baby" and put it on the pillow and cover it with the blankie. Oh my gosh, I love that kid. Such a sweetie. I love to see how she's changing so much. At the same time I wish she would stop! Enjoy the pics. Loves
