Christmas

Well, Christmas is over! Hard to believe that this year will be over in a few days. We had a good Christmas, busy, but good. Christmas eve Adam had to work, so Sadie and I went to my Dad's and saw that side of my family. I finally got to see Mowgli (Julia's baby) he is so cute and getting big. Sadie got some really neat presents. Christmas morning Adam, Sadie and I went to San Felasco and hiked a 5 mile trail. It was great. I wish that it would've been a bit cooler, but it is Florida. Sadie fell asleep in the hiker backpack while we were walking and got a red mark on her head. I felt so bad but she seems like it didn't bother her too much. Later in the afternoon we went to Mama and Papa's house and saw everyone over there. I ate some yummy food and enjoyed visiting with family. Sadie took a long nap while we were there. After that we went to my Mom and Tommy's house and had our Christmas with them. I ate some more yummy food and Sadie got some fun stuff from her Gigi and Granddaddy! Sadie was a very sleepy little girl by the time we got home. Yesterday I went back to work and Sadie went to Adam's parent's house (daycare was closed) When I went to pick her up she felt really warm. I took her temp when we got home and she had a fever. I feel so terrible for her. I want her to get over her cold already! Today she seemed better. She played a bit more and ate better. My mom watched her this afternoon while Adam and I were at work and she seemed fine when I got home. Now, she is sleeping so sweetly in her crib! Well, we stay at Adam's parents house this week while they are on vacation (on a cruise). Henry is not going on the cruise so we will be keeping him company (he doesn't have his driver's licence yet) and watching the Shugan's dog zena and Adam's brother Elliot's dog Wesley. Should be fun. Anyhow...I need to finish cleaning the house. I have work tomorrow and will have to pack up some stuff in the morning. Hope everyone had a magical Christmas. Loves. Peace.

Been a while

So, I realize it's been a while since I've posted. In my defense, Adam, Sadie and I have all been sick this past week so...Anyhow, I have posted 2 slide shows that are from this past week. The one just below is from Hanukkah (as if the the Happy Hanukkah frame around it didn't give it away!). Under that is a slide show of pics from Sadie being cute this week. Also, We went to my Dad's house on Sunday and exchanged gifts. He and Carrie gave her the exersaucer that she is in. She seems to be mesmerized by it. She is still a bit small for it but better too small than too big. She'll just grow into it. Tomorrow is already Christmas eve! Sadie and I will be going to my Dad and Carrie's house to see everyone we won't be doing dinner this year (too many people) but it'll be nice to have dessert and read "The night before Christmas" and see all the kids. I will (hopefully) post pics tomorrow night when I get home. Adam has to work so he won't be going with us tomorrow night (tear). Christmas day we will see my mom and that side of my family. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I am especially excited to see my cousin DK. He started college this year and I haven't seen him since last Christmas! Sadie hasn't been feeling well for a couple of days (no, Mama, she didn't catch anything from you!). She has a runny nose and nasal congestion and has that sleepy "I don't feel good" look in her eyes. Today has been the worst so far. Adam went and bought a humidifier and saline drops for her nose yesterday. They seem to be helping some. She REALLY hates having her little nose cleaned out. I hate having to do it. Luckily Adam and I were off today so we were with her most of the day. We did take her to daycare for a couple of hours, we needed to get some stuff done and we knew we could get it done faster if we had someone watch her. We had originally planned to take her to daycare and go on a bike ride on some trails. With her being a little sick though, we decided to just take care of business. It's too bad that we didn't get to do something fun. This has been our first time alone since my birthday in July! We'll do something another time. Hopefully we will have another day off together soon. Poor Adam is working so hard and never seems to have a day off.

Other than that We are all well. Mama and Papa came into town on Sunday and gave us a VERY nice Chicco high chair for Christmas/Hanukkah. Sadie seems to enjoy sitting and eating in it. She looks so little in it. Well tomorrow it's back to work. Sadie doesn't have a fever (knock on wood) so Adam will take her to daycare when he goes to work at 2pm. Sadie has laying in her bed crying for the last hour and a half. She is so sleepy, I wish she would just give in and let herself fall asleep. She needs her rest so she can get all better. I hope everyone out there is doing well. A lot of people are sick right now. 2 people Adam works with have strep throat. Everyone stay well. Peace.

Adam took this picture of Sadie yesterday. She is the cutest baby ever. He was working on a paper and he sat her on the bed (next to the desk) with some toys. He said she was content and playing independently for about 30 minutes! She seems to enjoy sitting in her bumbo as long as she has toys to play with and someone is next to her. Adam is having a long week he was off on Sunday, but he's working an 8 day stretch right now. I feel for him, he is a trooper. I know he must be tired, but he is still so attentive to Sadie and I. Everyday I thank God for bringing him back into my life and giving me more than I could ever ask for. We are so blessed to have each other, Sadie, our families and friends. I know there are so many people out there right now who are feeling the effects of the state of our economy right now. I know many of them have children and are losing their jobs and homes. It just reminds me everyday to not take for granted what we have and how blessed we are. I hope that we can raise Sadie to know and understand how lucky she is to have so many opportunities available to her. She is such a joy in our lives. Anyhow, I am rambling. Sadie is back at daycare tomorrow and then she will be there all next week. I hope that it won't take her too long to get used to it and being with the people and other children there. We will see. Sadie's a sitter

Adam took these pics of Sadie today, she is sitting up on her own so well now. The bag he had her in was one that my aunt made for me when I was little and I found it the other day when I was cleaning out our storage (I washed it, that's why she's in it, it was with a pile of clean laundry). Anyhow, not much to report. She is eating solids twice a day. Fruit at breakfast and veggies at dinner. She really seems to enjoy eating them. She is also still nursing. Well, we haven't found a high chair yet (well we have, but I refuse to pay $70-100 for high chair). I have found several on Craig's list, but most of them have already been sold. I have found one for $30, it's a Peg Perego (a $250 high chair!) it is navy and white and looks good. Only problem is the people selling it live in Fruitland Park, which is near Wildwood (like over an hour away). Anyhow, my Dad gave us a 20% off coupon for Toys R Us for one night only (tomorrow night) so I may end up just breaking down an buying a new one. We'll see. Anyhow, it's 10:40 pm and Adam just got home from work (yay, he's early!) so I am going to go cuddle! Loves. Peace

Yes, yes, I know, I'm like 2 days late! Sorry to everybody, we've been cleaning out our storage and apartment and getting rid of a bunch of stuff. I HATE clutter! Anyhow, Sadie is doing well. Growing, getting cuter by the day. I posted a slide show of some pics from right before I had her to a few days ago.
