Our House

So we are officially homeowners!!! We closed today on our house and couldn't be happier. I absolutely can not wait to paint and get moved in! Hopefully we will have some wonderful volunteers to help us paint the house (inside of course) and get all the things in order we need to to be able to move in. We would like to be in by the end of January but with the way our weekends seem to be looking this coming month, I'm not sure if we can make that happen. Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Just wanted to post this picture and say that I am feeling so very happy and blessed today and am so excited for Adam, Sadie and I to begin this new chapter.

Hanukkah pictures...finally! :)

Here are some of the pics from Hanukkah with the Shugans! These are pics from Carolina's phone (thank you), so for now, these will have to do! Sadie had a great time and was spoiled by all her uncles, aunt Carolina and of course Bubbe and Grandpa. We went to Chicago this past week and I will post a couple of the pics I have from that but there will be more to follow. It's funny to think that at Hanukkah last year Sadie took her first real steps! Now she is only a couple of weeks away from being 2 and a half!!

In other news...the contract we had on the short sale house fell through. We were really bummed because we were so excited for us to have our own place. So, we took a step back and tried to think about what we wanted to do. We found out the week before we went to Chicago so we decided we would just do nothing until we got back. I was still looking around to see what I could find and we really weren't happy with anything we say in the range we were looking. We had initially only looked at single family homes. I decided that I would see if there were any available units in a couple of the condo communities that we would be happy living in. There are only 2-3. So we found a couple of "semi detached" homes that do not share any living walls, only garage walls and decided to look at one. We really liked it but wanted to think about it because it was not what we had originally planned for. We went to Chicago and continued to talk about it and decided it was the right thing for us to try. So, the day we got back (this past Wednesday) we made an offer and yesterday we found out they accepted it! The only catch is that we have to close in 2 weeks!!!! So, the next step is the inspection, which will be Monday. If everything goes okay with that, we will be closing the following week! Luckily, we have our apartment until the end of February. So, we can go in the new place and paint and do the floors and all that stuff. Plus, we will have time to move and not have to rush it all in 1 weekend. Anyhow, we're really excited and hope it all pans out okay. I will take pics of that too! I will post Chicago pics soon! Loves

Silly bubble girl

Just had to post some of these ADORABLE pics of the Sademeister. She is the cutest kid on earth (no bias here). Everyday I am so thankful and happy that we have been so blessed with this awesome child. Everyday she amazes me with her smarts and abilities. I am blown away by how much I love her.

Thankful

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving this year. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures from Adam's parents' house. These are from Thanksgiving at my Dad and Carrie's. It was so great to see my family, my cousins and 2 of my sisters, nieces and nephews. We had a great time eating and drinking. The kids had a great time playing together. My cousin Julia has a son, Mowgli, 2 months older than Sadie, They had fun coloring with crayons and chalk. Food was delicious. We had an awesome time at Adam's parents' house also. His Mom made the BEST brisket and I made pecan pie (I made mashed potatoes for my Dad's family). Sadie seemed to enjoy herself and everyone else. I had to work on Friday but Sunday Adam, Sadie and I went down to Ocala and saw Mama and Papa. We had a great time with them too. Hanukkah starts on Wednesday night and we will be celebrating with Adam's family on Sunday. I look forward to that too! Other than Thanksgiving nothing much is new. I was hoping to have some big, exciting news by now but...

We put an offer in on a house back in October. It is a short sale. So, we put the offer in and the seller agreed to the price. The price got sent to the bank and the bank ordered an appraisal (standard procedure). So the appraisal is done and it comes back QUITE A BIT higher than the house is really worth. The comps that the bank used aren't even in a comparable community. So...our realtor has requested an appraisal review since it was so out of range of what the house is actually worth. Now, we are waiting to find out if they will even do the review. Everyday he says "we should know something with in 24 hours." This has been going on for over a week now. So, maybe I will have some big exciting news. Or, maybe not. But, I am thankful (in the spirit of the season) that we have a nice apartment and we are happy, albeit frustrated, but happy. I know there is some sort of plan. I know that I can't rush it, I know that I have to just be patient and wait...

P.S. Yes, that is me climbing the tree in my Dad's front yard and NO, I will never grow up. What's life without spinning around until you want to puke and climbing up trees? Loves

She loves making this face lately.

Too Cute!!

Okay. So, I finally was able (and had time) to get some pics uploaded. These are just some cute, random pics that have been taken over the last couple of weeks. Sadie is getting so big and VERY silly! Right now, she is sick (boo). We all have colds from this crazy weather. Adam and Sadie have had it the worst. Today I actually left work and picked Sadie up so she could be home. Hopefully tomorrow we will have a full day at daycare. She was so sweet today. She wanted lots of cuddles and I was happy to give them to her. I made some fresh, homemade chicken soup for all of us. It was delicious and we have left overs! We have all been busy with work and normal life stuff. There's also something exciting in the works for us, but more on that later! We have been handling some business with that, which has kept us pretty busy. Other than our colds, we are all doing well. Adam has been VERY busy at work, with the upcoming holidays. I actually have been pretty busy too, which is fantastic for this time of year. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving next week (can't believe that!). Hopefully it will be another good (and delicious) one. Hope everyone out there is doing well. I will try to post more pics later this week. I'll do my best! :) Loves.

Technology...grrrr *scowling*

So...last night I tried about 6 times to post new pics. Something was either wrong with blogger or our computer (hopefully blogger!). I will try again this evening and see how we go. Sorry for all you lovely blog followers out there. Hopefully your wonderful patience will pay off!

Beautiful Family

Aren't we so adorable!

This picture is from Papa's induction ceremony. This is such a fantastic picture of everyone (except DK, he wasn't able to be there). I can't believe Sadie is even looking at the camera and smiling! I have some pics from Sea World that I plan to post at some point today. Enjoy our nice family!

holy moly!

It's been almost a month since I've posted anything. We have been pretty busy and the last couple of weeks we have even been doing stuff in the evenings! We've been to see Sesame street live, we went to Haines city for Papa's induction into the FFA hall of fame. We went to the beach with Poppa and Grandma Carrie and we went to Sea World! I, unfortunately don't have pics from Sesame Street live. We forgot to bring the camera. Adam did take a couple of pics with his phone. I will post those once he sends them to me. We went to Sea World yesterday and haven't uploaded those pics onto the computer yet, so those will be posted later today or tomorrow. Things have been great. We've been busy with all that stuff plus work and normal things like laundry (boooo). Adam is working today. Since the holidays are getting closer, he will be having to do more stuff on Sunday to get ready. I miss him. He is supposed to be home around 2. Then, we will have some Sunday fun! Sadie is napping but we had a fun morning. She helped me clean and vacuum. She is getting so smart (not that she wasn't before). She is saying long sentences and she turning in to such a cute and sweet little lady. I have been going through more of her "baby" toys and clothes that are too small, weeding out the things to give to friends and the stuff to give to the humane society. It still makes me a little sad when I have to do that but you can't hold on to everything forever. I do save the important this and the things that have sentimental value. Adam and I have been going through our clothes and stuff too. I always clean out in the fall, not the spring! He and I have clothes, shoes and other "stuff" that we are just not using and our office and bedroom are staring to feel claustrophobic. For those of you who know me, you know that I can not stand clutter and the whole "pack rat" thing. Again, I keep things that are important but I just can't stand looking at something that is taking up space and not being used. I usually sell it on Craig's list or donate it (or give it to anyone that wants it). Anyhow. I digress.
Sadie has gotten into a phase where she starts to cry as soon as I turn down the street to her school. She has fussed a little when I've left her before, especially on Mondays after a long weekend. But, she is starting to get a little more fussy about it. It rips my heart out every time and then I have a nice cry on the way to work (not every morning). Adam says she does it because she knows she can work me over! I hope this phase passes quickly. I was a little concerned that it was something going on at school but nothing is different all of her teachers and classmates are the same so...We'll see how it goes. So. I need to go clean the bathroom (fun) while Sadie is still sleeping. But, I will post more pics later this evening or tomorrow...stay posted!

Bad hot dog...

Haven't posted in a while. We've been busy with work and school and food poisoning! Last Friday I ate a hot dog that may have been questionable (although, at the time, I didn't know it). Friday evening I started throwing up and went on through Saturday! I feel MUCH better now. Oh well, that's what I get for eating hot dogs I guess. Other than that things have been good. We weren't able to make it up to my cousin's wedding. We really wanted to go but it just didn't work out. My Dad said it was a great wedding. I wouldn't expect any less! I'm SO happy for her. Sadie is doing great. Cute as usual. Adam turned 30 last Thursday!! We didn't really do much (at his request) but he relaxed and we hung out together. the weekend before his birthday Adam and I went went down to Tampa with my Dad and Carrie and my Dad took Adam to a Rays game. Carrie and I went to the Tampa Ikea! The boys had a great time and Adam got 2 signatures on a baseball. Dad was worried that Carrie and I wouldn't be able to find enough to do while they were at the game so he got directions to a mall. That way we could go there after Ikea...we ended up spending the entire time at Ikea. Dad called us to say the game was over and we hadn't even made it through the whole store yet! Now, in our defense, we did eat lunch there. We took our time and talked while we ate. The lunch there was actually really good. I brought home a stool for Sadie, so she can stand there and brush her teeth at the sink (or wash her hands). I also got 2 picture frames for some prints I had gotten when we were at the Orlando Ikea a while back. Next week my Papa is being inducted into the FFA hall of fame, so we will be going down for that and the next night is Sesame Street live!! Looking forward to next week. You'll see in the picture that I cut Sadie's bangs. Her hair is perpetually in her face so I finally cut them short. Looks pretty cute! The picks of her being silly are from Adam (and Henry's) birthday dinner with his family at Napolitano's. Now they have this great terrace to get married in...go figure! Maybe we can renew our vows there (for those of you who don't know, Adam and I had a small dinner there with our parents and siblings after our courthouse wedding). Hope everyone is having a great week. Enjoy the pics. Loves
