So...today when Sadie woke up, her hair was plastered to her face with snot. She had a huge rat's nest in the back of her head and would not keep in the pig tails I kept trying to put up. Sadie had her first hair cut. It's a little shorter than what I wanted but it'll grow. Now, I know some of you out there are thinking 'oh, no!!', but I think, for the summer, this will be better for her. She is so hot natured and won't keep her hair up. We needed to do something. She seems to like it. She kept shaking her head around to make it fluff and smiling. We forgot the camera when we took her to get it cut. But, we went to my Dad and Carrie's house this afternoon and got some pics. They bought a turtle sandbox for her to play in at their house. After she played in that for a while we went swimming. We ate some delicious burgers on (Dad grilled) and went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was nice. I feel like I need another day off. I worked 6 days, off today and work 5 this week! I am tired. I have a baby shower and wedding this upcoming weekend and am making the flowers for the wedding! I am really excited about that. Work is going well, busy, but well. Adam is applying for multiple jobs every evening all over the country. It'll be interesting to see where we end up. I have tons of pics to post from last weekend (when we went to Disney, again, and Epcot). But, I'm not sure if I'll get them posted tonight. I wanted to get these up since she looks so cute with her new hair do! Sadie has been sick with a sinus infection. She was sick last weekend at Disney and Epcot but she mostly rode in her stroller was carried or was on a ride so she did fine. As soon as my insurance kicks in we plan to take her to see an ENT doctor. After thinking about it and talking with both of my parents I am convinced that she wouldn't have so many problems with breathing if we had her adenoids and possibly tonsils) taken out. From what I've heard, I had the same problems when I was her age and the procedures greatly helped me. I also want to talk to them about her ears. She still falls over easily and looses her balance and if you watch her you can see it's her equilibrium. She just has too much fluid in that little head. But, hopefully we will get that taken care of soon! I love that kid to pieces. Well, I will try and get those other pics posted. Loves.
Yes, I know, there are a lot of pics from this weekend. Photobucket is being weird again so I just posted them all like this! Saturday morning one of my best friends (Jenn) had her baby shower. Unfortunately I only got one pic of she and our other best friend Vanessa. The baby shower was so much fun. It was so great to see Jenn open all of her wonderful gifts and see her mother (who is such a fantastic woman) and laugh and have a good time. Right after the shower, one of my other best friends (since high school) got married!!! Kristin and Benny had their wedding in an airplane hanger and it was so awesome. They put everything together themselves and it looked fantastic. She asked me to do the flowers, so I made her bouquet, 2 boutonnieres and a pomander flower ball. They turned out pretty well. The wedding was super fun too. Sadie enjoyed playing with Benny's daughter Ciara (they've played together before). Ciara was pushing Sadie around in her stroller and taking her on walks and dancing with her. It was so cute. After the wedding we just came home and hung out. Today we just ran a couple of errands and enjoyed not having anything planned. We took Sadie to the museum and walked around. Other than that today was pretty uneventful. Although, we did get to have breakfast and dinner with Adam's mom and that was really nice. We haven't seen her in a few weeks so it was nice to catch up (and talk about Grey's anatomy, which we both love!). Sadie is in bed now and Adam is watching tv. This week will hopefully be low key and then next weekend is a long weekend. And (Mom, don't forget) Thursday, a movie I am VERY excited about opens!!!! Mom and I are going to have a girls night and see it. Anyways. Hope everyone has a great week. Loves.
