Feet

As you can see, Sadie seems to think that her foot is a phone! I think it is so funny how her foot is just there like someone else's foot. Like she's thinking "what's this foot doing here?". Cracks me up! The top 3 pics Adam took on Saturday. My Aunt Dona and Uncle Ron were in town from Alabama. Unfortunately I had to be at work for a resident party so I didn't get to see them. Adam, Sadie and my Mom went and had a great time. These are a few pics Adam took. Sadie is too cute! Other than that nothing too exciting going on here (not a bad thing). We went swimming over at Adam's parents' house this afternoon and just kind of hung out and did chores at home. I can't believe Sadie will be two in 10 days. So crazy. I am starting to get everything together for her Bday party. We are going to do a small party with parents and siblings at Adam's parents' house. I am making the decorations because what she wants is only available to order online and it's a little over priced for birthday decorations. We'll see how it turns out. So far I made part of the happy birthday banner. tonight I will do the cake toppers. I'm excited.

Sadie's 1st (real) boat ride

Today was a great Sunday! Adam, Sadie and I went out with my Mom and Tommy on their boat. we went down to Crystal river. It was a lot of fun. We drove down the river, had lunch and just hung out. We even got to see a manatee, it was like a foot away from my leg! We didn't get any pics with our camera but I think my Mom got some. I'll post those later. Sadie seemed to really enjoy the boat. She didn't love wearing the life vest, but, it has to be done! When we weren't riding, we took it off so she could be more comfortable. She loved moving and going fast! We had a really nice lunch and then slowly headed back. It was HOT HOT HOT by the time we got back to the boat ramp and Sadie (and all of us) were burning up. It was a lot of fun but it was nice to get back in the a/c. The river had NO air movement. I can't wait to go out again. Later in the evening, we went over to Adam's parents' house and swam in the pool. Adam's Mom, Irene, made peanut chicken and it was delicious (as usual). The pictures are backwards. The top one was this evening at the Shugans' Sadie kept covering Zena (the dog) with her blankie and rubbing her and saying "night night Zena". So cute. Well, I'm super tired so I am going to take a shower and go "night night". I hope everyone had a great weekend! Enjoy the pics.

What's old is new! Pics of Sadie below, next post! :)

My mom had given this china hutch (the top part is not in any pics but it is sitting in our office) a while back because she got a BEAUTIFUL buffet from Tommy's grandparent's house. I have always liked the "bones" of this piece bur it was always a little too country for me. When she gave it to me I asked her if she monded if Ipainted it. Well, that was in January...I fianlly did it. I LOVE how it turned out and I did it all myself, on my patio and in our office! This past Friday night I sanded it down (and striped the top), Saturday night I put a tarp down and painted it an off white to match our dining room chairs, after it was dry I put it on the patio and re-stained the top to match our dining table and the wood in the chairs. I also spray painted the brass handles, knobs and hinges black. I was going to get new handles but everything I liked as kind of expensive. I decided I would just paint the ones I had and save up for the ones I wanted...turns out I like these way better! Anyhow. I decided to leave the center door off and take the magnet off and leave it open. I am so happy with how it turned out. Any opinions? Loves

Big girl!!

Sadie is 23 months today!! In one month she will be 2! I can't believe it. The pics are kind of out of order, blogger uploads them weird. But, Sadie has been doing new stuff, most importantly sleeping in her "big girl" bed. We put the twin back in her room, just to try it for naps, and left her crib up. She took a nap in it, then that night she climbed up in there at bed time. We let her sleep in it. The whole next week she kept choosing to sleep in that bed! After a week of her doing that we took her crib down! She loves her new bed. The pics don't show it but we did put a bed rail up so she won't fall out. She did sleep in it for naps without one but I was a little worried she would roll out. So, now the crib is under our bed until we another have another baby or decide we're done making babies! Luckily we have a huge, tall bed to store it under (thanks Mama & Papa).

The other new thing Sadie has been doing is playing with her baby doll. All of a sudden she decided she wanted to be a little mommy. She rocks it and holds it and covers it with her blankie. She was even giving it her milk the other day. I got her little stroller down and she pushes the baby around in it. So cute! She'll say "night night baby" and put it on the pillow and cover it with the blankie. Oh my gosh, I love that kid. Such a sweetie. I love to see how she's changing so much. At the same time I wish she would stop! Enjoy the pics. Loves

Bath time sillies!

Adam took these pics of Sadie the other evening, when I was at a movie with my Mom. Sadie is always so silly during bath time, but I think he captured a good little slice. Not too much going on with us. We had a nice long weekend. Adam went down to Tampa with Bobby, to a baseball game (devil rays v the white sox). They had a great time, Adam got an autograph from John Jaso. Since Adam was going to be gone until very late Saturday night, Sadie and I went down to Ocala and stayed the night at Mama & Papa's house. It was so nice being down there and visiting with them. I haven't spent the night down there in a long time! Sadie had a great time getting spoiled (as grandparents are supposed to do!). Saturday (before Adam left, we drove down to Jacksonville and bought Sadie a plastic playhouse (I found it on craig's list). We got it for a real bargain and it's in great condition. Adam put it together last night and Sadie loves it. I haven't gotten any pics of her in it yet but I will try to tomorrow. I love craig's list. We got a new, real wood entertainment center off of there a couple of weeks ago! Sunday we went to a BBQ at Adam's parent's house and got to visit with all of them and Monday Adam worked, so Sadie and I just hung out. I went through her closet and took out all of the stuff that doesn't fit and re organized everything. Later we finger painted. That was awesome!! Other than that we just hung out. Very nice! Back to work today. Things were a little crazy since we were closed yesterday and it's the 1st!! It made the day go by fast, it wasn't too bad though, just a lot of phone calls to return and things to follow up on from the weekend, plus all my Monday morning stuff I have to do! I got caught up and had time to do a couple of extra things!
Adam is still looking all over for a job (he has his same job, just one with his new degree!). I hope he is able to find something that he will enjoy and can be happy at. Hope everyone had a safe, fun long weekend. Enjoy the 4 day work week!! Loves.
