Head of the class.

I wanted to post some pictures from the last few days to show how grown up Sadie is starting to look! I love her teeth. They look like little chicklets! I also wanted to post a picture of the new "baby" in the house. This is not a very good picture of it, as it doesn't really show the incredible detail of eye lashes and hair and veins! I took it to work last week and freaked a couple of people out. Adam took it to work and put it in a box and made his regional manager run around and scream like a little girl! Hilarious. Sadie likes is sometimes and sometimes she points at it and says "no baby" in a very stern voice. I don't know what baby did but it was in trouble! So right before Sadie turned 2, we spoke with the directors of her daycare to find out the transition process to the 2 year old class. Adam, the directors and I all agreed that we would go very slow as Sadie doesn't adjust to new situations quickly (not a problem, that's just her). So they tried her for the afternoon 2 days in a row and she did great. Had a super fun time. Wednesday and Thursday, they tried her for a whole day and she did great. So On Friday morning I met with one of the directors again to see how she thought Sadie was doing. She and I were both pleasantly surprised that Sadie was doing extremely well and we decided to start her in the new class on Monday (Yesterday). She has been having a ball and learning lots of new stuff. I am so happy and proud of her. She is just amazing. Other than that nothing too exciting has been going on. Adam had to work on my Bday so I spent the day pretty much by myself. But, I did get my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed! Adam and I went out to dinner later in the evening and I found out Elliot and Henry are giving me a Wii for my Bday!! WooHoo!!! Guitar hero, here I come! This is the last year of my twenties! Adam will be 30 in 2 months. I'll have to start planning a good present for him soon! I'm off this weekend and am looking forward to relaxing! Loves.

Sadie's 2nd Bday Party

Sadie's birthday party

I am trying out a new way to post slideshows, when I have a lot of pics to post. I saw this on another blog and I wanted to try it. Photobucket is what I normally use but it hasn't been loading correctly and I want to see if this site works better...

Anyways. Sadie's party was great! We had a pool party at the Shugans'. Adam's brothers were there, my sisters Mellina and Ryan came and my niece Amalise and her friend and Kristin, Benny, Ciara and Devon. It was a great group. Luckily we planned the party perfectly. Everyone got there and went swimming while the food was cooking, we got out and ate and got to swim a bit more. Then, it started to get dark and the sky opened up. Everyone helped get everything inside before it started to rain. Then we did presents. Sadie got a lot of great stuff. Most notably was from Henry's girlfriend, Kayti and her mom. Her mother makes dolls and made Sadie this incredibly real looking doll (pics to follow). It was so real that when I looked in the bag to get the gift out for Sadie I yelped a little! After presents we did cake and sang to Sadie and then just hung out as everyone kind of started to depart. It was a great day and Sadie didn't have a nap but was perfect and had a blast! I can't believe she is 2. She did pass out by the time I was pulling out of the Shugans' neighborhood but she only slept for about 30 minutes and went to bed quickly that night.

In other big news...Sadie has been in the 2 year old class in the afternoons, the last 2 days! Ms. Jenny said she had a great time singing and dancing with the other kids. I am so proud of her. She is growing and becoming such a sweet, silly, fun little girl. Everyone has been saying "uh oh, here come the terrible 2's" but I couldn't ask for a better child. If this is her "terrible", then bring it on! And anyways, toddlers are supposed to be a little feisty. She is just such a joy in our lives. I'm glad that everyone had fun at her party and that she enjoyed herself and everyone else! Loves.

Happy Birthday Sadie!!!!!!!

So, Sadie is 2! I am a little sad, but I love seeing her grow and change. It was a pretty low key bday for her.

This past week and a half has been kind of crazy. On a high note, one of my best friends, Jenn, had her baby boy. He is beautiful and I am so happy for her. That was on Thursday night. Earlier in the week, was a major low. In the middle of the night Monday night/Tuesday morning, Carolina's (Ross's girlfriend)parents house was broken into and her little (16 years old) brother was killed. I won't go into details but it was a long, sad week. We went to the funeral on Thursday and it was super sad. So, I have been trying to remember how incredibly blessed I am and remember to take the time out to love my husband and daughter and everyone around me and not take ANYTHING for granted.

On a happier note. Sadie spent her birthday with Adam and I. We played and swam and had lunch with Bubbe, Grandpa and uncle Henry. It was a great day. Gigi and Granddaddy sent her balloons and Adam and I gave her one of our presents (the chalk board). She got to play with her new present from Mama and Papa (the doll cradle). She also spent some time in her other present from Adam and I, which we had given her a few weeks ago. She was growing out of her little chair/rocker that she loves to sit in. So, Mom and I went down to Pottery Barn kids and bought her a big overstuffed kids chair. She loves it and I love that the cover is washable! We are having a Bday party for her on Sunday so more Bday pics to follow. My sister Mellina and her daughter Jerilyn are coming down from Jacksonville tomorrow and staying with us this weekend. I am super excited for that. Sadie and Jer bear will get lots of good cousin time. ;)

Oh! the first pic is the banner I made for Sadie's Bday party on Sunday. She LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba, so that's sort of the theme. The decorations are only online and they are kinda pricey. So, I used my printer and some good ol' fashion hard work and made some cute stuff. I'll post pics of the other stuff I made!

4th of July...Happy Bday America!

Just wanted to post some cute pics from the 4th of July. We went out to my Mom and Tommy's house and had a BBQ with family and friends and then they did fireworks in the pasture. Unfortunately I missed most of the fireworks because Sadie does NOT like them. Oh well, maybe next year! Other than that Sadie had a great time. Adam even got to come out and have fun. Usually holidays fall on a day he has to work. He got to set off fireworks and have fun too!
