Here are the most recent pictures of our cute Sadie. She gets cuter and Sillier by the minute. Adam Got offered a position at Shands!! Yay! I am so happy for him and proud of him. He starts on July 25th. He will be working 8-5 Monday to Friday with paid holidays and weekends off. FINALLY!! The only down side is that our trip that we had planned in September to Hawaii will have to be pushed back 6 months (booo). Luckily that can be done and luckily we are doing it for a fantastic reason. New Shands employees are not allowed to used vacation time for the first 6 months of employment. So, 6 months is like February 2012 and our 5 year wedding anniversary is May, so somewhere in there we will go. Other than that things are moving along. Work for me is insane and one of the other Portfolio Managers quit so I will be taking over the majority of her properties until after our busy season (August). This means I will be managing about double the properties (owners and tenants too!). This summer is going to be INSANE for me. Hopefully it will go by fast. Just trying to look forward to Sadie's 3rd (can't believe it) birthday and Adam starting his new job.
Today was a pretty good father's day. My dad is out of town so I didn't hear back from hinm until about 9:45 tonight and I wished Tommy a happy father's day via the phone. We did go over to Adam's parents house for a bar b que and swimming. It was so much fun. We ended up watching old home movies of the boys. It was hilarious. I made a homemade ice cream cake with devil's food cake, boaroo buzz ice cream, devils food cake and cool whip on top. It was yummy!
Today (earlier) we went out to the Waldo flea market and got this old shutter for free! We cut off the center bar and mounted it on the wall. Now we have a cool mail center. I love purposing things! You can't really see it in the picture, but it's all old and weathered. I LOVE it. I have a couple of other projects in my pocket right now, but we'll save those for later...
