Beach day (2 posts, keep scrolling!)

Yesterday, Adam and I decided we wanted to go to the beach. We haven't been in such a long time and we wanted to enjoy the hot summer weather. So, we packed up there car and drove over to Crescent beach. Sadie, Adam an I had a great time playing in the sand and water. We got to put all of Sadie's fun sand toys to use!
The bottom 2 pictures are from my "big" birthday. Adam made me a cake and his parents came by to give me a nice gist. While they were here, Sadie decided to snuggle with Grandpa.
Adam starts his new job tomorrow (sort of). He has Shands orientation. I am so happy and excited for him.

Kitchen, the saga begins

When Adam and I moved into our house, we had these ugly 80's dark wood cabinets. We quickly decided that we would paint them white and that would be the end of it. Well...not so much. Because our vent hood isn't "really" vented all the heat and steam from cooking stays in the kitchen. Over time this has caused the paint to have a dripped look and I can't stand it. We talked about ways to redo the kitchen and really love it. Over the last couple of days we have begun embarking on a DIY kitchen redo. We are stripping the cabinets back down to bare wood and re staining them a light honey color. We have replaced the ugly faucet and (broken) sprayer with a new set up in brushed nickle. We got a conversion kit and converted out horrible canned light to a pendant. Lastly, we have begun stripping the cabinets (well, the doors). Hopefully it turns out well. Stay tuned for more updates...

Happy 3rd Birthday Sadie!!

I can't believe my baby girl will be 3 tomorrow. Wow!, how time flies. This is a small compilation of pictures from over the last 3 years. I have LOTS more but these were the few I picked. It's hard to think about Sadie being in my tummy 3 years ago (right now) and seeing her sweet face for the first time. Words cannot describe the vast amount of love that I feel for her. She has opened my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. Happy birthday Sadie Rose. You are loved so much by so many people. You are my sweet little sunshine.
