Merry-go round and round and round.

Okay, so I guess these pictures are just going to have to be backwards! The top set are from today and the bottom ones are from yesterday! So, I apologize for uploading them backwards! Oh well.
Saturday Sadie, Gigi and I went to the Micanopy fall festival. It was a lot of fun and there was tons of stuff that I wanted to buy (can we say old iron works, wooden spools and old yard sticks?) but alas, I came home empty handed. I'm sure that Adam didn't mind. Papa had a few tables set up and Sadie got to snuggle with him and spend a little time with him. I think we will have to make a trip to Ocala soon!
Today we went to the park and Sadie pushed Adam on the merry-go-round. She had so much fun pushing her Daddy around. Luckily Adam does not get motion sick. I, on the other hand, get sick only looking at the merry-go-round! Later, we went to a pumpkin patch (or so we thought) at a big church near by. But when we got there there were almost no pumpkins and no people! There was an area off of one of the children's rooms that had playhouses and other "outside" toys. So, Sadie had a great time anyways!
Sadie is all tucked in bed, Adam is going through his baseball cards and watching family guy and I am going to go feed my disgusting reality tv craving! Everyone have a great week!

Friday Phone Dump

Here are some of the photos that I have taken over the last week or so. Sadie really enjoys swinging on the big girl swing and Mr. Mark, one of the directors at her school says that she "pumps" better than some 5 year olds!! Sadie is such a sweet, smart little girl and I have so much fun with her. We are so loving the weather lately and doing a lot more stuff outside. We have some fun stuff planned for the weekend and I am looking forward to doing "fall" stuff. Sadie has her Halloween party at school on Monday and then later in the evening we are going to trick-or-treating with Kiki, Benny and Ciara. On Wednesday she has her school pictures (which I am so stoked for). I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend. Happy Friday!!

Phone Dump Photos

My little lady loves to paint. Luckily we have an big screened in patio for her to explore all her painting skills. I am so glad that she loves to do arts and crafts and paint and color. I am trying to do different crafts projects with her, like making noodle necklaces and fun stuff like that. We haven't done too many yet though, because she really just loves to paint!

I want to ride my bicycle

Sadie had so much fun this past weekend riding her bike. The helmet may be a little on the small side, but it worked for the day! We will have to get her a new one soon! She had a lot of fun riding down the cul-de-sac and she was giggling the whole time. It was great.
Nothing too terribly exciting going on in the Shugan house. Adam and I cleaned out a few of the closets in the house. We were being over run by stuff that we don't need or use anymore and the stuff we do want to keep and use was strung all over the place! Anyone that really knows me I can not stand clutter and when I go to get something out of my closet and stuff falls from the shelf...things are getting a little out of hand!
We are still going through Sadie's phase of not wanting to stay in bed. She climbs up to the stairway landing and just hangs out. So, we take her back downstairs and in bed, 10 minutes later, there she is again! At least we are getting some night time exercise, going up and down the stairs! But, if this is the worst toddler behavior we have to deal with (which so far, it is) then I am happy to take it!
With all the changes and things that have happened over the last year, Adam and I have been talking a lot about our life together and how much we really mean to each other. How funny it is that we have known each other for so long and that we ended up together. It really got us talking about what is important to us as a couple and as a family and what kind of legacy we want to leave behind. It all comes back to family and what we are building together. There are so many things that I am thankful for and am so excited for all of the amazing things that we will do together.
Sorry to get all hallmark moment...thankyouverymuch.
We are still having camera "issues" so enjoy the above photos compliments of my blackberry :-)

Chipmunk cheeks

Yes, that is our silly little girl. Apparently she is part chipmunk! She was hiding grapes in her cheeks and I busted her! I love that scrunched nose.
I am so in love with this weather right now. We had fun at the park and hanging out our screened patio over the weekend. We opened all the windows and just really enjoyed it.
Sadie had fun swinging on the "big girl" swing and even started learning how to pump and make herself go higher...
But she still had fun on the little swing and was able to "really super high", which she loves. I can't believe what a big girl she is getting to be and she is such a sweet girl.

No, she is not putting her mouth on this. It's one of those "telephone" type things I was across the way on the other and we were whispering to each other. She was so funny and had fun playing with those.
This past weekend and this week have been and will be interesting...Adam's brother Elliot got engaged on Saturday to his girlfriend Nikki. Nikki has a daughter that is about 6 months older than Sadie. So, we are looking forward to their upcoming wedding and having a new cousin/niece and sister in law. My sister Mellina is due to have her second baby any day. She was in early labor off and on all weekend, so I expect to be snuggling a new nephew very soon.
Other than that, everything in our house is pretty much the same. Just looking forward to all the upcoming excitement. All three of us are happy and healthy and looking forward to enjoying all this beautiful, cool weather to come!
