Closing the gap.

I am back again & still trying to catch everyone up on all the photos. I have also decided that I need a phone with a better camera!! At any rate, here is the latest pic updates. I will give a description foe each...enjoy...

1. Sadie getting her Jedi training during the "light up Ocala" festivities. She and Adam were having fun playing with those light sabers. Thanks Papa!

2. Sadie and I snuggling (waiting for the boys to bring back the light sabers). I love that little smile, it says Adam all over the place!

 3. Sadie being silly at lunch one day when we were out running errands. This kid has such a silly sense of humor.I love her little silly personality.
 4. This is from when we went to the Florida natural history museum. They were/are having an exhibit nature and conservation and it was explained & presented through videos and pictures from the "peanuts" comic strip. Sadie was a little bored, but she had fun in the other exhibits. We actually go to the museum quite a bit and she always has fun.
 5. I just like this pic because it shows what a little lady Sadie is. Her fluffy dress, pink boots & legs crossed. such a little lady.
 6. This is just from one of the times the we were playing outside and throwing the ball around. We were just enjoying the outside.
 7. This was from Thanksgiving (actually the only pic I took). Sadie and Jerilyn were outside at Dad's house coloring with sidewalk chalk and having a ball). It was a smaller, but great Thanksgiving this year. One of my favorite holidays.
8. Again, just a pretty princess picture. Love that little silly monkey.

I will post more cute pics very soon!!!

Catch me (up) if you can.

2 months is waaaay to long to go without posting. I wish I could say that there have been all kinds of exciting things happening in the Shugan household, but...no. It kind of started with my phone auto transferring pics to my computer (I rarely use my real camera). So, now I have all of these pics on my phone that I can't post to my blog. I was going to take my phone to AT&T this weekend to find out what happened, but tonight I went to double check and...BAM...all my pics auto transferred. Yay! So I am going to post over the next few days to catch up on all the cute (and random) photos and stories that have been residing in my phone for the last 2 months. Here is the first run down of photo posts:

1. Sadie on the swing at the park. She has begun wanting to wear her hair down all the time, where as I do not want her hair in her face. So, we have agreed on bows!

2. Sadie and Henry waiting at a door for candy on Halloween. Sadie was princess Tiana (from the princess & the frog). We walked around Forest Ridge and the Hermitage trick or treating for about 2 hours. Sadie (and Henry) had a blast.

3. Sasa and I relaxing in the living room one evening. I love that little cuddle bunny.

4. Sadie playing in the yard at Aunt Dona &Uncle Ron's house in Alabama. We had a great time visiting family. All the boys went to the Troy/Navy game and the girls went shopping. Sadie was sporting her new pink boots.

5.Sadie playing with the wooden play kitchen at our favorite pizza place, Satchel's. We try to go there every other week or so. It's locally owned and they have the BEST pizza and calzones, plus, they have a bus you can eat in.

6. Sadie playing at O2B kids between classes, she's so cute.

That's all for now, look for more tomorrow!

Running, bricks & very cute pics!

Now that I am starting to catch up on life, I can post about it! Last weekend Adam and I were busy little people. We ran a 5k called the Gainesville Beer Run. It was Adam's first run and it was a lot of fun. Adam and I don't get to do as much fun, alone, stuff together. We have the usual dinner and a movie date, but it's been a while since we have had a cool activity to do together. The next morning...early...Tommy came over and we removed our old walkway and laid down beautiful pavers. I LOVE how it looks. It makes me want to do more to our home, inside and out! Lastly, here is a sneak peek of Sadie's school pictures. Enjoy!

Happy (belated) birthday Adam!

Adam's was September 23rd...yes, I am a bit late with this post. I do, however, have a full time job and a 4 year old. so, in my defense, I have been busy. Adam had a good birthday and we enjoyed spending time together. Saturday we took Sadie to her dance and gymnastics class and watched the game. Sunday we went on a fantastic bike ride on the Hawthorne trail and had a lot of fun. Sadie had fun going fast in her trailer and looking at all the fun sights of the trail, and nature. Sadie had her school pictures taken and I just got them today. They turned out great. will be sending them out to family soon! This past weekend we tore out the walkway to our front door in out courtyard and laid pavers (thank you Tommy!). More pics on that to follow.

Cute weekend pics

Oh, my sweet girl. I just love her so very much. Looking at that smiling face just makes me feel so blessed. The first picture is from dinner on Saturday night at one of the best pizza places in Gainesville, Satchels. The second is from last Saturday when she started her new gymnastics and dace classes at O2B, which she LOVES. She is really enjoying her new teachers and kids in her classes. In other news, my schedule has gone from 12 hour shifts back to 8 hour shifts and so far I am loving it. I only have the weekend off, but I am am home in the evenings and get to pick Sadie up from school. Hope everyone has a great week!

Lots of pictures.

I decided to post some of the random pics that I have had on my phone and keep forgetting to post. The top pictures are from one of our trips to the creek to hunt for shark's teeth. Growing up here in Gainesville and living so close to the creek for most of my life, my sister Ryan and I would go down there all the time and hang out. Adam, also growing up (mostly) in Gainesville, went down there with his brothers. So, a couple of weeks ago we got the bright idea to take Sasa down there. We had such a great time. She loved digging in the dirt, looking at the plants and "hunting for treasure". Adam and I found quite a few shark's teeth and are trying to figure out what we will do with them. It started to rain (a lot) while we were there so we got to run through A. Ring park in the rain (it was so fun). Sadie had fun jumping in puddles and dancing in the rain. Last week, Adam took Sadie down there with Henry and Sadie enjoyed that too. The next pictures are from observation day in Sadie's ballet class (did I mention she started ballet?). She is so sweet and petite, I loved watching her have fun in ballet. We have also signed her up gymnastics, which start this Saturday. She kept watching the kids do gymnastics while we were waiting and was asking to try it so we decided that we would let her try that too. I think she will like gymnastics better, but we'll see. The one of her on the swings is from last week (I just thought she looked cute) and the last is from this past Monday, her first day of VPK (pre k). That's right folks, she is finally a big fish in a little pond at school! She is so excited about being in the "big kid" class now. She picked out her outfit and how she wanted me to do her hair. It was so sweet, I wanted to cry (Lord help me when kindergarten starts!). Other than that things are normal. Work for Adam and I is good, we both are enjoying out jobs (as much as you can anyway!). Just living and loving life!

Sadie's Birthday (and only days shy of a month later!)

Well, I guess I did not keep up with my end of the bargain, dear blog readers. I vowed to be better about posting and...well...we all know how that turned out. Here are some of the pictures from our weekend in Orlando. We all had such a great time at Sea World, especially Sadie. We also had a great dinner with Ross and Carolina, after Sea World at the Mall at Millenia (after a quick trip to Ikea, of course). Sadie had a big birthday dinner of mac and cheese followed by bubble gum flavored ice cream. When we were going back to the hotel from dinner, we saw fireworks near the hotel, we found out they were at Sea World, right across the street from the hotel!
So, we sat in the car and snuggled and watched fireworks. We didn't do any rides at Sea World, mostly because Sadie doesn't really seem to like fireworks. We did, go to several shows and she (and we) really enjoyed those. After dinner Ross and Carolina gave Sadie her birthday present- a new, big girl bike!! She also got a doll house (from my Dad and Carrie) and ballet lessons from my Mom and Tommy. I will be posting more pics of those soon.
Work and school have been going well. Other than being tired, Adam is doing well. Sadie is having a great time in school, as usual. She will be starting the Pre-K class on August 20th. I am excited and sad, all at the same time. Work for me is great, we switched to 12 hour shifts so I am only working 3 days a week now, it's a mix of good and bad. Lots more pics to follow. I have bike, ballet & creek pics to post! Lots of love out there in blogger land!

Weekend fun.

Well Monday is here and almost gone and we are one day closer to Sadie's 4th birthday and our trip to Orlando. All three of us can't wait to have some great, family fun. This past weekend Sadie spent time out at her Gigi and Grandaddy's house and Adam and I had some quiet time. We had all of these grand plans of fun things we were going to do, but in the end, we went out to dinner with some friends, saw a free concert and painted Sadie's bathroom. I am glad that she had such a good time at Gig's house though. This week Sadie and I are off school and work on Wednesday and I am getting off work early on Friday and will be taking cupcakes, favors and balloons to Sadie's school for a birthday party for her. Looking forward to this fun birthday week and weekend!
