The raindrops keep falling on my head...

Rain, rain go away, little Sadie wants to play. Actually, to be completely honest, I don't really mind all of the rain. This is the best weather to curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea. Things are well in the Shug-master house. Sadie has been dancing up a storm and showing off her "moves". I can't wait to sign her up for ballet. I can't believe Sadie will be 4 in a week and a half. We have decided that this year we won't do a big party. Instead, we are going to take her to one of her favorite places...Sea World. I am going to take some cupcakes and goodies to school so she can have a little party there. I think that she will enjoy it better than a big party.
At work, I have been learning how to do nerve conduction studies. Basically I am learning how to deliver a shock to the nerves and looking at the response (latency, amplitude) and determining if there are any issues, nerve entrapments, etc. I am very excited to learn this and will hopefullt becoming registered in this modality. It is very exciting to be learning new things and having to push myself to have the confidence I need to be able to succeed and learn it! On a side note, it doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would!

Stay dry out there!

Sunday, beach day.

A couple of Sundays ago we woke up and decided to go to the beach. The weather predicted an overcast day with possible rain but it ended up being a beautiful day. We used our big tailgating tent and brought some sammies. Sadie had fun playing with her sand toys but would not stay in the shade. Also, there was also a nice tide pool so we hung out in that quite a bit. Can't wait to go again!

Pomp & circumstance

Things have been pretty busy the last few weeks, I try to be better about posting, but after work and family time, the day just slips away too quickly. Work has been great, love my job. I am studying to take the board exam for nerve conduction studies, just one of the modalities we do. I will be able to sit for the boards in October. I have lots of studying to do! Sadie is doing really well at school and is excited about her upcoming birthday and going into the VPK class.
Adam's youngest brother, Henry, graduated from GHS the first Saturday in June. We  went to the graduation ceremony (of course) and then to his parents house after for a bar b que. It was a lot of fun and we are so happy for Henry to be starting this exciting new phase of his life. There is a lot going on, on Adam's side of the family. Henry graduated, Elliot and Nikki are getting married in August and have announced that they are expecting and due in December! Also in December, Ross and Carolina are getting married. I am so excited for all of the upcoming events.
In addition to all the excitement swirling around, Adam and I are trying to find time to finish (and start) some of the home improvement projects that needs to get done around here. So far this summer is off to a great start. We have even made it to the beach once (pics to follow) already and have been at the pool a bunch. I look forward to all the fun things coming up.
