Time to see the surgeon

Today we met with the pediatric surgeon, Dr. Beierle, she was very good and sweet with Sadie and seemed to immediately agree that these were hernias. The surgery is scheduled for Monday September 15th. We will go to Shands at 7am and she will be put under general anesthesia shortly after. It should be a fairly quick surgery,1-2 hours and she will stay in the peds wing overnight. I am glad that we will be able to have this fixed for her. Hopefully it will make her feel better. After meeting with the surgeon we went upstairs to the urology clinic and saw my mom (Gigi) and some of her co-workers. Everyone thought our Sadie was adorable and especially loved her hair! Late we went to Bubbe's house and saw the new stroller Bubbe bought to push Sadie around in, when she's over there everyday. It was very similar to our but it had a couple of really neat features that ours doesn't have. I told Adam I was jealous! Sadie is asleep now and she looks so peaceful, I hope she gets a good nights rest. Tomorrow, if she feels good, we'll play with her new swing. We picked it up today and she only got to check it out for a short bit. She seems to like the lights and hanging toys! More fun tomorrow. Loves ya'll

I am glad the surgery will be fairly "simple". Although, I am not excited about her having to have it done. I know Dr. Beierle and she will do a great job of taking care of Sadie. It was nice to show off Sadie and her parents to my co-workers. They have heard so much about them all. I went over after work to see them again. Sadie is such a sweet baby and I just melt when she smiles. She reminds me of Sarah when she was a baby. Being a grandmother is wonderful, I recommend it to everyone!!!!

Love,

Gigi

Good morning! What a beautiful sight to see Sadie's smiling picture and to know her problem will soon be taken care of. I am going to talk with the travel agent to see if there is a way we can receive a message from you after the surgery just so we will know it went well, and that Sadie is doing okay.

Yes, Sadie, we do think you are not only cute, but precious too! Your new picture with the cupid mouth is now on our screen savor.

Love and prayers, mama and papa
