Over a year!

As of June 14 I have been posting on this blog for a year! Pretty crazy. This time last year I was 10 days away from my due date. Crazy. A year has gone by so fast.

Sadie is sick again. Saturday morning she was kinda fussy and it has progressed from there. She has been running a temp of 102-103 since then. She is very irritable and unhappy. I feel terrible for her. Adam stayed home with her this morning and I got off work at 3 so he could go to work. Tomorrow Adam will be home with her again. As I type this she is crying a little and I feel terrible. She has been mostly crying since about 4pm today. Adam took her to Dr. Rosi's today and they said Sadie has a virus. There really isn't anything we can do besides treat the fever. I hope she gets some rest tonight. She was up most of last night. She 'll sleep for about 20-30 minutes at a time and then wake up crying. Earlier this morning Adam said she finally took a nice long nap (she stopped crying. Maybe she fell asleep). I feel so helpless. I can see in her eyes she feels terrible but I can't really do anything for her. We'll see what happens.

I took these pics on Thursday. My mom got her these cute hair ties and my Dad and Carrie got her the dress. She looks adorable!

You know those times when we catch ourselves getting reactive, and we promise the other person we're going to "remain calm?" I bring this up because although we mean well, too often we stay stuck in the matrix of judgment and resentment.Today, don't work so hard to "remain" calm. Instead, decide to stay patient and not to get mad in the first place.
